A New Iberia family isn't letting the pandemic stop them from celebrating a special birthday.
A surprise drive-by parade was held for Mattie Manuel to celebrate her 86th birthday on Wednesday.
She is the oldest member of her neighborhood and is known as "The Mother of Anne Street." She's also the mother of six children and retired from a local hospital.
Neighbors also came together to celebrate the special day.
"It's a blessing for us, for her children to have her here still living on Anne Street. It's a blessing. And it's a beautiful day today celebrating her 86th birthday. I wouldn't miss it, no way," said neighbor Lionel Collins.
