UPDATE: The family of a missing New Iberia 14-year-old say the teen has been found after running away for a second time.
Ciera Kenay Burton was first reported missing on Sunday, September 29 and was quickly located by family that same day.
Burton left her home again around 4:00 am four days later on Thursday, October 3. A search was conducted with the help of the New Iberia Police Department and Burton was placed into the National Missing Persons database.
Her family says she battles mental and emotional conditions that affect her judgment at times.
The teen was located by her mother on Saturday, October 12 in Broussard. The family says police were notified and verified that she was safely home.
The family is thankful for those who helped in the search.
