A New Iberia church was also out in the community Saturday afternoon, making sure no one goes hungry during this difficult time.
Perro's Blessing Outreach Ministry fed many residents today for free.
This isn't the first time the group has done this - they've been feeding the community once a month for the past few months to help out.
"Given that we are in a time of need, we try to help whenever we can. We know it's hard right now, so we want everybody to come out and support us as we support them," said Robert Alexis with Perro's Outreach Blessings.
Today's distribution took place at West End Park in New Iberia.
