The New Iberia City Council meets in regular session this afternoon at 5:30 p.m.

On the agenda are several items, including a discussion of city trash collection.

Charles LaGrange, Municipal Sales Manager of Republic Services, is scheduled to address the council on improvements being made by Republic Services for garbage and recycle pickup.

Also on the agenda is a Resolution to Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development requesting the department to move the railroad crossing projects forward with the highest priority level possible.

Council members will consider authorizing the mayor to accept two projects as substantially complete: construction of the police department's dispatch office and construction of a canopy at the City Parks Fire Station.

Two projects have change orders, the Doc Voorhies Wing & George Rodrigue Park - Phase I, and the Jefferson Terrace Drainage Improvements project.

Also, City Treasurer Kevin Zerangue will present the budget to actual comparison.
