NEW IBERIA, La. - The New Iberia Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint within the incorporated limits of New Iberia on Friday, July 5, 2019, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to target impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or any other dangerous substances.
Officers working the checkpoint will respond with zero tolerance to those drivers found to be under the influence, according to a release from the department.
