The City of New Iberia has announced the holiday schedule for household waste and yard waste pickup.
The city says that Republic Services will not be operating their usual household garbage routes on Friday, December 25, 2020.
They will resume on Saturday, December 26, picking up Friday’s route.
Pelican Waste and Debris will also be closed Friday, but still plan on finishing the yard waste pickup as usual that week on Saturday, December 26.
The city says the same will be done for the week of New Year's. Services will not pass on Friday, January 1, 2021, but will resume routes on Saturday, January 2.
