UPDATE: Jeanerette Police confirm that the missing man has been found and is safe.
Jeanerette Police are searching for a missing elderly man with dementia who was last seen Saturday afternoon.
According to police chief Dusty Vallot, the man left his home in Jeanerette around noon on Saturday and was last seen in the parking lot of Super One in New Iberia.
He is approximately 6' tall and weighs 130 pounds; he also has a gray beard.
He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and gray tennis shoes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Jeanerette Police at 337-276-6323.
