The Jeanerette Museum dedicated the city's new floating boat dock and kiosk on the Bayou Teche on Thursday.
The dedication ceremony at T.J. Viator Memorial Park was cut short by this morning's rain, but those in attendance were able to able to see the dock and surrounding features.
The kiosk features two maps - one shows the path of the Bayou Teche, while the other shows the city of Jeanerette and its landmarks.
This isn't the first kiosk in the area, though. Mona Stansbury with the museum explained, "These kiosks are dotted all along the Bayou Teche. This one, naturally, is dedicated to the City of Jeanerette - its past, its present, and its future."
