Jeanerette man accused of armed robbery

IBERIA PARISH, La. - A 22-year-old Jeanerette man is accused of armed robbery.

On January 17, 2021, Jeanerette Marshal learned about a crime committed on January 9, 2021, at a local car wash located at 2500 Main Street via video surveillance provided by the Jeanerette Police Department, according Jeanerette Marshal Fernest Martin.

Jerrius Charles was identified as the suspect and arrested on a charge of arm robbery.

Marshal Martin advised they have reason to believe that Charles is responsible for several other crimes in the Jeanerette area.

Charles is being held in the Lafayette Parish Jail for crimes committed in the Lafayette area. Charles is being held without bond at this time for the charge of arm robbery.
