The Jeanerette City Council will interview candidates for the vacant chief of police position during a special meeting Monday night.
The seat has been vacant since August 2017, when the city council fired then chief Jeffrey Matthews.
Since then, City Marshal Fernest "Pacman" Martin has served as the city's interim police chief.
Interviews will take place during an executive session.
The meeting begins at 6:30 pm
