J.P. Thibodeaux Kia recently donated more than 100 face shields to medical workers at Iberia Medical Center as part of a nationwide Kia initiative called Accelerate the Good.

Each of Kia's 757 retailers across the country are making similar donations to a hospital or medical facility of their choosing, totaling more than 75,000 face shields across all 50 states.

"Kia has really stepped up in this time of need and we are honored to do our part and by helping Iberia Medical Center in the fight against COVID-19 by providing badly needed face shields to medical workers here in NEW IBERIA," said Joe Thibodeaux, owner of J.P. Thibodeaux. "We are grateful for the hard work and dedication these frontline medical workers exhibit every day to save lives in our community."

The program was implemented in response to COVID-19, and Kia has previously donated to non-profits that assist homeless youth nationwide. Other mask donations were made in recent months to hard hit metropolitan areas like New York City and Chicago.
