In accordance with the recent CDC recommendations, the Iberia Parish welcome center will be closed to the public until further notice. Staff will be working in the administrative office and remotely indefinitely from March 17.

There is a self-service information kiosk located on the left of the front entrance, which will include a parish visitor guide with map and listings, as well as other visitor information.

If you want to contact the center, call (337) 365-1540, which may be answered remotely, or by direct message on Facebook.

The best location to view whether or not an event is ongoing is the center's event calendar.

The center is posting attraction closures on the Facebook page. Restaurants that offer curbside pickup/to go ordering will be listed here as they monitor the situation.

"We are working on contacting our partners for updates. During this time we hope you will have patience with us and them, as we attempt to keep everyone informed. Iberia Parish is an area of small businesses who will be greatly affected by the current situation, so please be aware they do not make these decisions lightly," a release states.

During this social distancing time officials recommend you explore the outdoors.

"There is no better place to escape the chaos for a little while than nature, and Iberia Parish is very blessed to have an abundance of it. Please remember to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally. Iberia Travel will still be here when the world resumes. Wash and sanitize your hands, and be kind to one another," the release states.

Please refer to your local parish government websites for CDC resources and procedures.
