Starting next week, the Iberia Parish Government will begin picking up debris generated from Hurricane Barry.

According to Iberia Parish President M. Larry Richard, Waste Connection will begin pickup on July 29, 2019. They will be picking up loose brush, limbs, leaves, and other vegetative debris.

Items must be placed at the roadside no later than Friday August 9, 2019. It is also asked that debris be placed into piles of "like matter." Tree limbs must be no longer than four feet in length.

Iberia Government says that trees, limbs, or brush cut by a commercial tree cutter/ contractor is to be collected and disposed with the tree cutter/ contractor bearing the entire cost for collection and disposal.

Construction debris and other similar items will not be picked up and must be disposed of by the contractor or homeowner.
