The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office spread some holiday cheer to nursing home residents in the parish.
On Monday, December 21, deputies stopped at nursing homes to deliver much needed gifts to those residents who may be feeling overlooked or forgotten during the holidays.
"We wanted to come out and show a sign of peace giving from our sheriff's office, me the sheriff and the sheriffs office itself and all the public who participated in this
event, this drive to supply a lot of the nursing home people with things they may need," Sheriff Tony Romero said.
Donations were gathered from Iberia Parish residents throughout the week. Gifts of socks, blankets, sweaters, cologne, perfume and games were wrapped up and handed out.
