NEW IBERIA, La. — The Iberia Parish School Board says that schools will be moving away from hybrid learning to full face-to-face instruction beginning in November.
According to the board, the Hybrid Instructional Model for middle and high school students will be replaced with a full face-to-face instructional model 5 days a week beginning Monday, November 16.
The school system says that the decision is due to the 3.4 percent COVID-19 positivity rate in Iberia Parish and the minimal school district positive case rate and quarantining rate.
They say that all middle and high schools are prepared to welcome back students while continuing to implement all state and CDC operational guidelines.
Students currently enrolled in the Full Virtual Model may remain on that model.
The school district says that parents may choose to transition full virtual students to face-to-face instruction during the window which closes October 30, 2020.
Current hybrid students may switch to the Full Virtual Model by contacting their school prior to November 16, 2020.
