UPDATE: The suspect accused of shooting an AR15 outside a home in Iberia Parish is in custody.
Jory Hebert was arrested Wednesday in Lafayette Parish and is also accused of threatening people with the gun.
Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man they say was shooting a rifle and threatening people with it.
Deputies were called to a home last night for a complaint of shots fired.
Witnesses allege that Jory Hebert came to the house with an AR-15 and began firing the gun and threatening people with it, deputies say.
Deputies say Hebert left the area in a 2018 or 2019 white Toyota Four-Runner.
A warrant has been issued for Hebert's arrest on two counts aggravated assault with a firearm, two counts aggravated assault on a dating partner, and seven counts illegal use of weapons.
If you know where he is, deputies say don't approach him; call 911 or the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337)-369-3711. He could be armed and should be considered dangerous.
