Aerial operations will be conducted over the next two days in Iberia Parish.
The Iberia Parish Mosquito Abatement District says they will be spraying for mosquitoes on the following dates in these locations.
Wednesday August 7, 2019 in Jeanerette and Hubertville. Specifically Little Valley Road, Alta Drive, Cora Lane, Hubertville Road, Linden Road, E. Hwy 90 and all points in between.
Thursday August 8, 2019 in Laurent and the Port of Iberia, Rynella, Weeks Island Road, John Lewis Road, the Port of Iberia, Darnall Road, R.Ronsonet Road and all points in between.
During this time, only hypersensitive people or those that wish to avoid all exposure to chemical in the designated ares should refrain from outdoor activities. Otherwise, the district says all other citizens can proceed with normal outdoor activities.
Citizens will notice low flying aircraft in the area as spraying operations are conducted. If the aircraft is overhead, it is advised that citizens not attempt to follow the path of the aircraft.
