The Iberia Parish Animal Shelter is asking for the public's help to find loving homes for animals currently in their shelter.
The shelter is currently without air conditioning and the animals are living in 94 degree heat. The shelter said it is "miserable" in the building. An air conditioning unit has never been installed in the building where animals are housed.
The shelter has dogs and cats available and in desperate need of a good home.
"Rescuers and adopters needed!" the shelter posted on Facebook.
Volunteers and/or donations to the shelter are also accepted. The shelter is currently trying to figure out ways to cool the building.
