Iberia Medical Center says that drive-thru COVID-19 screenings will be held on Thursday, April 9 in Jeanerette.
Screenings will be held from 9:00 am until 1:00 am at the Jeanerette Rural Health Clinic on Bourg Street.
Those attending the screening should be experiencing symptoms including coughing, shortness of breath and a temperature of over 100.4 degrees.
Residents who are unsure if they are eligible to be screened are encouraged to contact 311 for more information.
For any medical questions about COVID-19, Iberia Medical says residents should dial 211.
Physicians also say that those who qualify to be screened should not take Ibuprofen or Advil the morning of the screening.
To participate, attendees must arrive in a vehicle and bring a current photo ID and current insurance card.
