The Iberia Film Festival is underway in New Iberia.
The second annual festival kicked off Thursday night at the Sliman Theatre.
Movies made all over the world and in Louisiana will be shown at the film festival.
Filmmakers say the festival is a great way to promote the local film industry.
"I just think it's a great thing for the community and a great way to showcase to the industry what Louisiana offers both in talent and in resources," said Carrie Simon, director, Ardent Flame Media Group.
The festival continues tonight at the Sliman, starting at 6 p.m with their showing of the documentary Gumbo.
On Saturday, several films will be shown throughout the day, starting at 1 p.m. at the Essanne Theater.
Following the films, 15 awards will be handed out.
The festival wraps up Saturday night at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
