New Iberia invited the community to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Community gather at West End Park at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center to hear from speakers including Mount Calvary Baptist Church pastor Rev. Mark Lewis. The theme of the event was entitled "Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere."
The event was hosted by the Iberia Parish Chapter of the NAACP.
