Home burns Wednesday evening in Iberia Parish

A home was destroyed by fire on Wednesday in Iberia Parish.

According to the Iberia Pairsh Fire District, the home located on Tippi Lane in the community of Lydia caught fire on Wednesday evening June 17, 2020.

Upon arrive to the scene, firefighters say the home, which they describe as a wooden fram home, was fully engulfed. The fire was under control after 35 minutes, according to firefighters.

Photos show the exterior and interior of the home are severely damaged. There was no indication of any injuries reported.

B.O.M. fire station, Grand Marais, and Rynella Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the fire.
