FAMILY: Second brother dies, a week after shooting

An 18-year-old New Iberia man has died, just a week after his 13-year-old brother, family members say.

Demarcus Domond Brown Jr., 13, died at the scene of a Johnston Street shooting in New Iberia last week. His brother, Tre'gon Norman, 18, was transported to a local hospital.

On Sunday, Brown's mother posted that Norman had died as well, as did the father of the boys, Demarcus Brown.

The shooting happened at about 7:00 p.m. in the 500 block of Johnston Street on June 14, 2020.
