Due to the threat of bad weather on Wednesday, the COVID-19 public screening originally scheduled for June 24 has been moved to Friday, June 26th.
Iberia Medical Center says the screening will take place from from 8:00 am until 11:00 am in the lot across from Alleman's Grocery Store located at 4718 Bull Island Road in New Iberia.
Those who attend will be asked a series of questions and submit to a temperature check and nasal swab.
The medical center says that individuals who believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 are eligible to be screened. Walk-ups are also eligible.
Physicians are recommending that participants NOT take Ibuprofen or Advil the morning of the screening.
Participants are asked to bring a current photo ID and a current insurance card.
