On Friday, June 26, Iberia Medical Center will hold a COVID-19 public screening from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.
The screening will take place in the lot across from Alleman's Grocery Store located at 4718 Bull Island Road in New Iberia.
Originally scheduled for June 24, the date was moved to Friday due to the threat of bad weather on Wednesday.
Those who attend will be asked a series of questions and submit to a temperature check and nasal swab.
The medical center says that individuals who believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 are eligible to be screened. Walk-ups are also eligible.
Physicians are recommending that participants NOT take Ibuprofen or Advil the morning of the screening.
Participants are asked to bring a current photo ID and a current insurance card.
