Family members and friends gathered in New Iberia on Saturday, July 20, to raise awareness of unsolved murders in their community.
The event included mothers of murder victims talking about their experience.
Special guest speakers included:
Catalene Theriot with VOICE who gave a presentation about VOICE working closely with the Legislature by coordinating and reviewing new and changing legislation affecting victims' rights
Shera Broussard LaPoint from Our Roots DNA & Geneology. LaPoint who spoke about grieving family members
Rosalind Bobb with Life Grief Support Ministry spoke for victims and giving the closing prayer
