Around 250 meals were handed out to elderly residents of Jeanerette on Wednesday, November 18.
The event was a partnership between the Jeanerette Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Carol Bourgeois Jr., City Marshal Fernest "Pacman" Martin, Jeanerette board members and local residents.
Meals were handed out from 11 am to 1 pm at the Ward 8 Recreational Center on Huberville Road in Jeanerette.
Volunteers were also on hand to deliver meals to those elderly residents unable to attend.
