The City of Jeanerette is looking to hire a full-time police chief.
City officials are currently accepting applications for the job. The applicant must have at least eight years of law enforcement experience in a supervisory role, and be POST certified.
Applications can be dropped off at city hall Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2020.
Jeanerette City Marshal Fernest "Pacman" Martin Sr. has served as interim police chief since 2017.
