NEW IBERIA, La. — A water main has broken in front of the Hardee’s on Admiral Doyle Drive in New Iberia.
A viewer called in to KATC and said that water was flooding the street and causing traffic delays.
KATC confirmed with the Louisiana Water Company, or LAWCO, which maintains those water lines, that there was a leaking water main on Admiral Doyle Drive.
A LAWCO representative said that they had crews out there making repairs, but did not currently have a time frame on when those repairs would be complete.
Admiral Doyle between Julia St. and Iberia St. is closed.
