New Iberia residents will have the opportunity to get necessary items for free in a giveaway scheduled for next month.
Love of Christ Ministries, Councilwoman Sherry Guidry, Pastor Harolyn Ledet, and New Iberia Neighborhood Watch Group - District 5 are partnering to host a "Back to School Milk & More Drive."
Volunteers will hand out milk, masks, and school supplies to area children.
Organizers say the city's youth is important to the community and they want to help spread the love by giving away the important supplies.
The drive will be held on August 21, 2020, at 2200 Louisiana Drive in New Iberia from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
