State Police are working several crashes on I-10 this afternoon that closed the interstate for a short while.
All lanes are now open on I-10 West before Butte La Rose (MM 123); congestion has reached 10 miles.
All lanes are open on I-10 East at Mile Marker 125 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge); congestion is approximately 10 miles in length.
All lanes are open on I-10 East at Mile Marker 127 (Whiskey Bay). Congestion is minimal.
State Police say one person was transported via AirMed from the scene of a crash after sustaining moderate injuries, but their condition was later downgraded.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
