In honor of Memorial Day, members of the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey police department held a series of ceremonies yesterday outside the homes of some 25 local veterans.

A procession of police cars would stop at each home, a detail of officers with an American flag would salute and taps would play over a loudspeaker. The town's Memorial Day parade was cancelled due to COVID 19, but officers wanted to make sure veterans weren't forgotten.

A seven-year-old girl in New Hampshire wanted to raise money to help healthcare workers, and she did it in the best way she knew how.

Lilyana Roman played her ukulele in her front yard, and asked neighbors to donate. She set a small goal, but ended up pulling in four thousand dollars, thanks to some matching donations. Lilyana says she hopes to raise even more.
