A frosty start to your Tuesday as temperatures have dropped down to right around freezing across Acadiana as winds have calmed down and skies have remained clear.

It's another sunny day expected across the region which will lead to a pretty mild winter day across south Louisiana with temperatures expected to push into the upper 50s.

The winds that plagued us on Monday have relaxed substantially and while there will be a light breeze coming in from the north it's not expected to have much of an impact on the feel like temperatures.

This quiet, mild weather will remain through the middle of the week but there is a change on the way for Thursday and Friday as we get ready for another front to drop in from the north.

The front will push slowly into Acadiana and will spark some light showers across the region on Friday morning, which will then stick around through the majority of the day as the front stalls.

It's a little unclear how long that front will linger but early indications point to a gradual clearing on Saturday which will last through the weekend.
