It's been a soggy start to the day with a front pushing through early Wednesday and dragging a round of showers across the area along with it.

The showers will continue through the early part of the morning but will be cleared of the area by about lunch time, outside of a few light lingering showers in the southeast half of Acadiana.

Clouds will stick around through the majority of the day, limiting temperatures to the low to mid 70s for our highs, in fact, temperatures will likely slowly fall through the day.

Winds will pick up pretty dramatically and will be coming from the north at about 10-15 mph, driving in that cooler, drier air from the north.

Overnight lows will drop down to the upper 40s for areas north of I-10, and low 50s for the I-10 corridor and points to the south.

This will set up a chilly day on Thursday with sunshine in the morning and clouds by the afternoon.
