There's a front on the way, but you wouldn't be able to tell from the early round of heat we'll be getting across Acadiana Wednesday morning.
Temperatures will push into the 90s with a heat index around 106 in the afternoon before the clouds start to increase.
Cloud cover will slowly take over by the afternoon and showers and storms will follow closely after that as the front passes through the area.
This won't bring in a drastic round of cooler air, however, it may be a little less humid by the weekend and every little bit helps.
There's activity in the tropics with the formation of Tropical Storm Dorian, you can read about Dorian here, but at this time it is not expected to impact Acadiana.
