It may not seem like it early Wednesday morning but another round of clouds and showers are on the way as a front is getting ready to push across Acadiana.
Winds will start to pick up in the afternoon coming in from the south at 10-15 mph which will introduce some of the moisture needed to spark those showers and storms, and the clouds will migrate in through the day.
It'll take a little longer for the showers to pick up moving in from the west in the late afternoon and will continue into Thursday morning, along with a few thunderstorms although they will stay below severe criteria.
Showers will linger through Thursday morning's commute before coming to an end and clouds will be left through what's left of the work week.
In the meantime temperatures on Wednesday will sit in the mid 60s even with the cloud cover, and temperatures will remain in the low 50s during the overnight areas.
There's another cool down on the way by the weekend, though we will stay above freezing, with temperatures back in the 30s by Saturday morning.
