Forecast transitions to a quieter pattern

It's been a wet first half to the work week, but now that we've made it to the midway point we will start to transition back to a more typical summer pattern for the end of the week.

The first half of the day, Wednesday, will remain fairly quiet with the first morning sunshine we've seen all week and clouds that will hold off until around lunch time.

A good scattering of showers will still be likely, particularly through the middle of the day, and with a little more sunshine churning things up thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon.

That little bit of sunshine not only will churn things up a little more but allow those highs to push back to around 90, and with the moisture lingering around the lows will drop down to the mid 70s.

Wednesday will be our transition day out of a very soggy pattern and into one we're all very familiar with in late July.

The back half of the week is going to be a hot one with temperatures in the low 90s and the heat index pushing into the triple digits, and while showers will be possible they will be more pop up in nature.

That quieter pattern will linger into the weekend, and the majority of next week looks like it will remain a typical summer forecast.
