Foggy start to the work week

Posted
and last updated

We've arrived at Christmas week, and the week is off to a very foggy start with a Dense Fog Advisory issued until 10:00 a.m. for all of Acadiana.

At it's worst the fog will drop visibility down to less than a quarter of a mile and will be sticking around through the mid morning, take it a little slower out there during the morning commute.

Once the fog clears the skies will be clear through the rest of the afternoon which will help temperatures push up into the mid 60s by the end of the day.

Visibility will drop again late Monday night and early Tuesday morning, but for the most part the forecast will remain quiet for the next few days.

The next chance for showers and thunderstorms will be arriving with a front which will push through the area late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Showers will clear early Christmas Eve although clouds will take a little longer to break up, the good news though is skies will be clear by Christmas bringing frosty conditions to Acadiana.
