A Krotz Springs couple lost their home and their pets in a Saturday fire.
Karl Ray and Julie Artigue left their home on Artigue Street on December 5th to run some errands, according to their daughter.
They received a phone call from a neighbor asking if anyone was home and that they could see smoke coming from the house. The home quickly caught on fire, claiming everything inside, including their dog Chloe and two cats, Biscuit and Minu.
St. Landry Parish Fire District 1 responded to the fire, according to Chief Charles Watson. He said the home is a total loss.
