EVANGELINE PARISH — A Eunice man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Evangeline Parish.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 21-year-old was driving on LA 1161 around 7:00 p.m. on November 8, 2020, when her vehicle ran off of the roadway and overturned causing the drive and a passenger to be ejected.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The passenger 26-year-old Eduardo Lopes was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner's office.
This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
