The family of Mar'kavin Kyrus "King" Cormier is holding a vigil in his honor on Friday, July 5.
The vigil begins at 5:30 p.m. in Pa Davis Park, which is located at 300 Hines Avenue in Lafayette.
Cormier, 2, died after a shooting on Northern Avenue in Lafayette last Sunday night, June 30.
The family asks that everyone brings white, silver, or blue balloons. There will be three speakers and a singer at the event.
The family has also set up a GoFundMe account to assist with Cormier's funeral expenses.
