State Fire Marshals are investigating a house fire in Ville Platte that has claimed the life of one man.
The Evangeline Parish-Ward 5 Fire Department responded to the 3100 block of Highway 167 North just after 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found an older model mobile home fully involved in fire. The reporting party told dispatchers that a male subject was inside the home.
Firefighters discovered the remains and requested the assistance of the Louisiana State Fire Marshal, who are now investigating the incident.
