Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte will be dismissing early on Wednesday.
The school says the early release is the result of a plumbing issue. The dismissal began at 10:30 a.m.
The high school is only dismissing. The elementary school will dismiss at the usual time at 3:00 P.M.
"We apologize for the inconvenience for the urgent dismissal. We appreciate your cooperation and we will keep everyone informed as the issue is resolved," the schools said in a statement.
There was no indication on when the issue would be resolved.
