In preparation for the annual Tournoi in Ville Platte, qualifying was held on Sunday.
The event on Sunday September 13 was open to the public for viewing at Industrial Park in Ville Platte.
The Tournoi was introduced to Ville Platte in the early 1800s. Competitors attempt to retain seven small rings suspended on posts around a semi-circular quarter mile track.
Those who qualify for the competition will then compete on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Industrial Park.
The Running of Le Tournoi will begin at 2:00 p.m.
