The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office is continuing to collect donations to help their neighbors affected by Hurricane Laura.
The Community Supply Drive began on Friday, September 4 and is scheduled to continue until Thursday, September 10.
A 26 foot U-Haul truck will be filled with items and brought to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office on Friday, September 11, for distribution.
The following items are being requested for donation:
- cleaning supplies
- work gloves
- batteries (all sizes)
- toiletries
- tire plugs
- box fans
- battery operated fans
- trash cans
- trash bags/contractor bags
- tarps
- first aid supplies
- charcoal & lighter
- small bbq pits
- paper plates
- plastic utensils
- battery operated lights/lanterns
- extension cords
- generators
- gas cans
- ac window units
- bug/mosquito spray
- ant poisoning
- baby food
- diapers
- wipes
- ice chests
