Evangeline Parish continues collect supplies for neighbors affected by Hurricane Laura

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office is continuing to collect donations to help their neighbors affected by Hurricane Laura.

The Community Supply Drive began on Friday, September 4 and is scheduled to continue until Thursday, September 10.

A 26 foot U-Haul truck will be filled with items and brought to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office on Friday, September 11, for distribution.

The following items are being requested for donation:

  • cleaning supplies
  • work gloves
  • batteries (all sizes)
  • toiletries
  • tire plugs
  • box fans
  • battery operated fans
  • trash cans
  • trash bags/contractor bags
  • tarps
  • first aid supplies
  • charcoal & lighter
  • small bbq pits
  • paper plates
  • plastic utensils
  • battery operated lights/lanterns
  • extension cords
  • generators
  • gas cans
  • ac window units
  • bug/mosquito spray
  • ant poisoning
  • baby food
  • diapers
  • wipes
  • ice chests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office is located at 200 Court St #104 in Ville Platte.
