A boil advisory has been issued for the entire East Side Water System in Ville Platte.
Officials say the water system experienced water supply issues and as a result a boil advisory was issued as a precaution.
Customers of the East Side Water System are asked to boil their water for 1full minute. Consumers must disinfect their water before consuming it, making ice, brushing teeth, or preparing food.
The advisory will be lifted once notification is received from the Louisiana Department of Health.
