District 3:
This seat is currently held by Rep. Clay Higgins (Lafayette). Also in the race is Rob Anderson of Sulphur.
Brandon Leleux (Lake Charles)
Several candidates qualified for area Judicial District Court seats, including Michael H. Landry of Crowley, Laurie A. Hulin of Abbeville, and Lewis Pitman, Jr. of New Iberia.
PARISH
In Evangeline Parish, Quint West filed to run for Pine Prairie Mayor and L.C. Deshotel qualified for Pine Prairie Police Chief.
In Iberia Parish, James Broussard and Ivan McIntyre both qualified in the race for Delcambre Police Chief.
In Lafayette Parish, joining the race for Lafayette City Marshal is John Trahan, Jr. Also in this race is former Lafayette Police Department Deputy Chief Reggie Thomas, Kip Judice, and Nathan Broussard.
In St. Landry Parish, two more candidates qualified in the race for Opelousas City Marshal - Bruce Alsandor and Frank Angelle.
St. Martin's race for Breaux Bridge City Marshal now includes Chad Broussard.
In St. Mary, Kim P. Stansbury qualified in the race for Morgan City City Judge.
In Vermilion Parish, Jeremiah Bolden qualified to run for Abbeville City Marshal. James Broussard and Ivan McIntyre qualified in the race for Delcambre Police Chief.
