The first real signs of fall are starting to trickle into Acadiana, sure it's hot in the afternoon but the mornings have been feeling better.

Morning temperatures dropped into the upper 60s on Wednesday and that may not be the last time they do so this week.

A push of drier air has made its way into the region which is helping bring down the lows, and keep things slightly more comfortable.

Even in the afternoons when the thermometer pushes 90 it won't feel too bad in the shade, especially if you can catch a breeze.

Sunshine will remain in abundance through the week with little cloud cover expected, and isolated showers not returning until the weekend.

The long term forecast stays warm but there's starting to be a few signs of an impending cold front as we get into October.
