The Love of Christ Baptist Church in Crowley hosted a fundraiser today to raise money for roof repairs.
The church was at O'Reilly's Auto Parts on Parkerson for a hamburger and poboy sale.
Members of the church wanted to thank Gary Dugan for helping out today. Dugan donated his BBQ pit and time as he spent the day helping the church raise money, and he did it all for free.
The roof collapsed into the church in June. Pastor Corwin Morgan said the roof wasn't built properly. He also said the collapse broke some pipes in the sprinkler system, causing the cafeteria, a hallway, and a chapel to flood.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the church in rebuilding.
