St. Landry Crime Stoppers: Help needed identifying shooting suspect

On May 2, 2020, deputies responded to a shooting on the 1800 block of Royal Street near Opelousas where a male victim was shot.

The victim stated that he was standing outside the home on royal st when an unknown subject walked up to him from the roadway and asked "what you got?"

When the victim replied nothing the unidentified subject pulled out a gun and exchanged more words with the victim.

The victim was then shot one time by the unidentified suspect. He's described as a light skinned black male wearing a black hoodie, black jogging style pants, black shoes, with a slim figure and he's approximately 5'11" tall.

The victim stated he does not know the suspect and had no recent or ongoing disputes with anyone. Detectives are asking for any information on this case that would lead to the identification of the shooter.
